Winchester Action on the Climate Crisis events
Winchester Action on the Climate Crisis is a community climate and sustainability action group, based at and supported by the University. They run an active annual programme of events, from regular meet-ups to themed talks and workshops.

Global Health Café 11 March 25
Join us for the third Global Health Café, organised by our Global Health experts and our partners the Global Health Hub at Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust and the Wessex Global Health Network.
This time we ask: do the inequalities and injustices around health across the world concern you? We will hear from Prof. Mark Owen, Director of the Centre for Religion, Reconciliation and Peace, who will talk about 'health, conflict transformation and religions' role in building peace', and from Dr Shawn McLaren on 'identifying malnutrition among infants and young children in South Africa - comparisons with WHO guidelines'.

British Philosophy Fortnight events 17-30 March 25
British Philosophy Fortnight is a new annual initiative by the British Philosophical Association to celebrate, promote and champion philosophy. It aims to raise awareness of what philosophy is and why it matters.
In an increasingly complex world, philosophy can provide valuable skills and approaches for responding to pressing global challenges, from pandemics to climate change.
The Winchester events are organised by Dr Elizabeth Mackintosh, an Associate Lecturer in the Philosophy, Religion and Ethics team in the School of Humanities.
